Florist Recs AND Pricing

Hello!

We are getting married next July and want to meet with florists around June so we will see the flowers at the time of year we are getting married.

We are trying to keep our flower budget lower (1500).  We need 8 Bouts, bridal bouquet, 5 bridesmaid bouquets, 2 corsages, some flowers for the alter and 15 centerpieces that I'd prefer to be high if possible.  I love white daisies and am hoping to make that the main flower for all the bouquets and white roses for the bouts.

We are getting married at the Palace but want to make sure we have a realistic idea of what to expect before we meet with a florist....Are we so far off on budget?

I know everyone recommends A&W but I am worried they are too far (I mapquested 50 minutes).  I'm not sure how far a florist will travel.

Any florists from that area that you recommend would be so greatly appreciated. Also please let me know if my budget is at all realistic!

THANK YOU AS ALWAYS SO MUCH!

Re: Florist Recs AND Pricing

  • We used Lyndhurst florist and paid $1100 for 1 bridal bouquet, 1 toss, 4 BM bouquets, 9 bouts, 4 corsages, a flower ball, a dozen roses for the rose ceremony and 14 low centerpieces.  We used roses and Belles of Ireland for the bouquets, bouts, and corsages. daisies, carnations and hydrangeas for the centerpieces which were pots of gold that weighed 40 ponds each.

  • I highly recommend Yumila from Weddings & Events Floral Design. 201-519-4656. She does amazing work, very sweet personality and will work within any budget you give her.
  • I was married at the Palace and used Conroy's, their house florist. I had a lower budget too, and Cathy worked with me. I even came in under my budget. Cathy was awesome; you can really go any time of year because she will show you a photo book rather than actual flowers. Also, I feel like we got a few "extras" since she is their florist: extra little arrangements in the bathrooms and on the mantle, outside tables and bar. Also, the main arrangement in the hall resembled my flowers and I think she did that on purpose. PM me if you'd like more info.

  • We're using Lyndhurst Florist as well - we're paying $1200 for my boquet, 4 BMs, 5 bouts, 4 corsages, 2 altar pieces, pew bows, and 17 low centerpieces. We're having roses, lillies and hydrangeas. They just gave FI's family a fabulous price on funeral arrangements, too - they're a nice shop.

  • We are using Kathleen Keller in Shrewsbury.  We blew our flower budget but that is because I fell in love with this one bouquet that had black calla lillies (is that how you spell that?) in it and it went on from there, we also have a very large bridal party.
She was very knowledgeable and super helpful and all her stuff looked beautiful.  She works on her own so there isn't a middleman and her prices were reasonable (even blowing our flower budget I still think we got a good price)

  • Try Vanessa at Metropolitan Flower and Plant Exchange. She is great to work with and won't go over the budget you give her.
