Hi everyone. Our ceremony location is about 30 minutes from our reception location. Since the majority of our guests are out of town guests, we wanted to make things as convenient as possible for them so we charted a bus to take guests from the hotel to the reception location, and then back to the hotel afterwards. (There is an hour and a half gap between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of the reception that was unavoidable. Hence the bus leaving from the hotel and not the church.)
We were considering including this information on a seperate card in the invitiation, and also asking guests who would be interested in this service to let us know on a seperate response card. We want to make sure we have enough room for everyone who wants to take advantage of this option. We would hate to think one bus, which can comfortable seat 56 people, would be enough and then learn too late that it was not.
I guess what I am wondering is if it is incredibly tacky of us to include this information and ask for guests to essentially reserve seats on the bus. I would also love any suggestions on how I shoud word this.
We considered putting this info on our website, but the problem is that the majority of our family are not computer users, and we worry that we would not be able to get word out to everyone if it is not included in the invite.
