Save the Date Cards

My fiance and I are having a short engagement and a small wedding, because that is what we wanted to do.

 THere are less than 30 people on our guest list most of which are family and already know the date we are planning on.  Should we still send save the date cards or just wait a little longer and send only invitations?

Since your wedding is in September, it's too late to send out STDs anyways even if you wanted to.

Honestly I'm not a fan of sending STD cards anyway. They mostly seem to cause trouble. I would just give your families a heads up about the date, and then send invites out at the 6-8 week mark.

</div><div>Don't send them.  1) You're wedding is too soon 2) Most everyone knows the date already and 3) STDs are an "extra" that is not required in wedding planning.</div><div>

I will follow your advice and just not send them.  I read somewhere they should go out 4-6 months out and invites at about 8 weeks out.
