STD Question

I figure I am just going to do STD's for out of town guests that we are inviting. Do you ladies thing they are really necessary for local guests?

We did them for OOT and local guests, but no, they are not necessary. They are not even necessary for OOT guests, honestly.

We sent one for every guest.  They're not necessary, but as a guest, I appreciate knowing in advance about an upcoming wedding.

We did them only for OOT guests and those couple of guests in town who were such old friends we knew they would be invited. Since STD = invitation, we wanted to give ourselves flexibility based on how relationships can change. Fewer STDs also give you more flexibility if you have to decimate your budget.

We did not do STDs at all. In my opinion it's a waste of money. Guests get like a 2 month notice from the invites anyway.

</div><div>I agree with that to a point as well, especially with local guests, but plane tickets are expensive these days as well as booking, so I want to give my OOT guests a little bit of a heads. That and I have spoken to one of my OOT guests who I speak with regularly about the planning and even though she knows about the wedding, she said she would like a STD. </div><div>

We are only sending to OOT guests and people we are 100% sure we are inviting.
