Roostergate

I’d like to take a moment to clarify some things about the last couple of days’ events, which henceforth shall be called Roostergate.

I was a part of the group that started the inside joke about roosters months ago- it wasn’t on TK nor did it have anything to do with TK. It’s just a bunch of girls taking pictures of roosters and realizing how damn popular they are. We use terms in jest, like “cluck cluck mother clucker”. We laugh.

I was the brainchild behind the April Fools post on the May board. It was silly, and I laughed a hell of a lot reading the girls posts.

When LiLe posted something on another forum about us “still thinking this is a covert operation. Lame trolls”, I thought it was unnecessary. We were having a silly conversation amongst ourselves.

After seeing that comment, I said to a group that it would be funny to post again on our same May thread about nude beaches, BYOB and dress codes something to the effect of “I love this covert mission. cluck cluck”. It was intended for Lile, using her own language so she would see that we knew it wasn’t a covert mission. The term “cluck, cluck” was intended only for laughs amongst the group of girls who have this affinity for roosters.

I did not see the thread that was taken down by Knot Irene, so I have no basis of judgment on what was or was not said. I do know it was started with a similar phrase to what I had talked about.

LiLe, I want to personally apologize. From what I gather, you (and others) thought you were being taunted by a group of mean girls from the May Board. I would be pissed too if I thought people were starting threads about me. Knowing the girls involved, I truly do not think it was meant to cause harm, but perception matters more than intent. So, I am sorry for having suggested a passive aggressive post about the covert operation in the first place.

If people want someone to be angry with, let it be me. I truly believe Carson didn’t have ill intent, she was merely taking my suggestion, which was meant to be aimed at the “covert operation” comment, not anything about a farm animal.

And just to show that the term “rooster” truly absolutely 100% is a joke, and any reference to such is meant as a joke, I will leave you with a photo of the crap that some girls I know sent to my house this weekend…

I was wondering where you all went, oh well guess it's too late for that now...

When LiLe posted something on another forum about us “still thinking this is a covert operation. Lame trolls”, I thought it was unnecessary. We were having a silly conversation amongst ourselves. <strong>Noooo, you <em>were</em> trolling.  You said yourselves, you never post here anymore.  So what was the purpose of the coming here and posting the April fools thread? <em> To troll.</em>  Dont get me wrong, I love a good troll.  But it wasn't good, it was lame.  </strong>After seeing that comment, I said to a group that it would be funny to post again on our same May thread about nude beaches, BYOB and dress codes something to the effect of “I love this covert mission. cluck cluck”. It was intended for Lile, using her own language so she would see that we knew it wasn’t a covert mission.  <strong>But instead, Carson posted a<em> thread</em> with the wording you just described.  Once other posters called her on it, she hard-core denied the thread being directed toward me.  So, thank you for the confirmation that Carson was<em> indeed</em> lying about that.</strong> The term “cluck, cluck” was intended only for laughs amongst the group of girls who have this affinity for roosters.<strong>  That's fine, but understand Carson just called me a "nasty rooster" over on E, then came to May and posted a thread referencing barnyard animals with overly sarcastic shout-outs TO ME.  Surely you can see the correlation between the two?  The thing is, when you involve others who are not privy to the joke its no wonder it can be misconstrued.  Especially, when you<em> just</em> used the "joke" as an insult. </strong>I did not see the thread that was taken down by Knot Irene, so I have no basis of judgment on what was or was not said. I do know it was started with a similar phrase to what I had talked about. LiLe, I want to personally apologize. From what I gather, you (and others) thought you were being taunted by a group of mean girls from the May Board. I would be pissed too if I thought people were starting threads about me.  <strong>There is no <em>"thought."</em>  They <em>did</em> start that thread to eff with me.  I am by no means a sensitive type person.  I have a thick skin, trust that.  But they crossed the line.  </strong>Knowing the girls involved, I truly do not think it was meant to cause harm, but perception matters more than intent. <strong>If you had read the thread, you would clearly realize it was meant to be hurtful.  </strong><strong>They <em>were</em> on some mean girls schit.  </strong>So, I am sorry for having suggested a passive aggressive post about the covert operation in the first place. If people want someone to be angry with, let it be me. <strong>I am not angry with anyone.  Its no sweat off my back.  I dont take the internet that seriously.</strong> <strong> </strong>I truly believe Carson didn’t have ill intent, she was merely taking my suggestion, which was meant to be aimed at the “covert operation” comment, not anything about a farm animal. And just to show that the term “rooster” truly absolutely 100% is a joke, and any reference to such is meant as a joke, I will leave you with a photo of the crap that some girls I know sent to my house this weekend… <strong>I totally believe your group has this <em>uber</em> funny inside joke amongst yourselves.  But again, when you involve other outside the joke</strong>,<strong> things can get real cloudy, real quick.</strong>

</div><div>I believe that she started the thread to apologize and take responsibility for the rooster thing.  As an adult we might expect you to read it, accept it, and move on, not keep beating it until it's dead.  It was an April fool's joke gone a little too far, but it's April 3rd now.  As of right now, I am going to be adult and stop mentioning it- you might want to consider doing the same.  Obviously we can't CONTROL you, but we are requesting that you do as such.

  • Sorry Mel, but the adult thing to do when somebody specifically addresses you, is to acknowledge and respond accordingly. Not ignore it and walk away.

Why is it that you all can say whatever you feel on the topic but when I reply, I'm in the wrong?  Very strange.

  • Honestly, from an outsider's perspective, I think LiLe has every right to be irritated.  You guys have been horrible to her, Carpenter took it upon herself to post an apology, and LiLe responded.  Is it really necessary for everyone else to come in here and tell her she's a horrible person and needs to go away?

  • Dear everyone,

This thread was to accept responsibility and apologize for an idea that was meant to be innocent, but turned into something else. I didn't participate in the threads, nor did I read all of them, but the ideas came from me, so I said I was sorry.

LiLe is entitled to her feelings and may respond in any way she wishes.

Now let's just move on. I don't know about you, but I have a wedding to plan.
