Any one else having trouble picking out ceremony music/ reception (cake cutting, anniversary dance, first dance father/mom dance) music? 

Everytime I talk to Fiance about songs his eyes glaze over and he looks at me like I'm on another planet. Music is deff not his thing. And my problem is I LOVE music and love all of it. I can't just pick one song!!

So I heard this song "A Thousand Years" cover by The Piano Guys. It is insanely beautiful. Go check it out now.... Then I was like where have I heard this before. TWILIGHT. Sorry all Twilight fans but that has to be the worst movie on earth. All of my friends and MIL and SIL are obssed with Twilight and they all know how much I hate it. WHYYYY???

I told fiance if he doesn't help me our first dance is going to be "As Long as You Love Me" Justin Beiber hahaha. 

On a more serious note - Any one like the song "When the stars go blue" - Tim MCGraw for a father/daughter dance? 

And for our bouquet/garter toss we are going to instead do an anniversary dance where the DJ calls out increments and the longest married couple left gets both and they share some wedding advice. "I Cross my heart" george Strait. 

What songs are ya'll using??

I am very indecive on a lot of he music aspect.  I loved A Thousand Years too, but refused to use it since it was a Twilight song, lol.  I love Christina Perri though, so it just might make it into being played while guests arrive. 

I am mostly torn with our processional-- I need a song for the seating of the family and then bridal party.  I am back and forth daily between "Fools Rush In" from Ingrid Michaelson, "My Wish" from Rascal Flatts, "We Found Love" from Tyler Ward (Rhianna Cover) and "I will be there for you" from Jessica Andrews. 

I am walking down the aisle to "Marry Me" from Train-- knew it from the first day I heard it.

Our first dance will be "Your Everything" from Keith Urban.  So glad my FI approved.

My father/daughter song is a surprise, for I let my dad pick it and he doesn't want to tell me.  I gave him a list of potential songs but said he was not limited to that list as long as it was NOT butterfly kisses.

Wedding party entrance is the girls are either entering to Girls Run The World (unless I end up doing that for a boquet toss).  Girls Just Want To Have Fun might replace it. So those are interchangable.  Going to talk to them and get their input.  The guys are entering to "Suit and Tie" from JT.  For our entrance,  we are torn between "Yeah 3x" from Chris Brown or "Crazy In Love" from Beyonce.

Cake Cutting is Pour Some Sugar on Me, I think. 

But who knows--beside what I am walking down to and our first dance I change my mind on a daily basis!!!

I love your choices! My FI has been fairly involved in music, so here's our tentative list so far:

Our BP will walk in to something upbeat ("Love in a Hopeless Place" by Rhianna, "Glad You Came" by The Wanted, or something like those).

We're walking in to "I Do" by Colbie Callait.

Our first dance will be to "Smile" by Uncle Kracker. 

I'm not positive on a daddy/daughter dance yet, since I'm going to have my dad give his thoughts on it first. If he doesn't have any idea, I might choose "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts.

FI and his mom are dancing to "Perfect Fan" by BSB since he was a huge BSB fan back in the day of boomboxes, which I'm sure his mom will remember.

If we do an anniversary dance, we want to do it to "When I'm 64" by the Beatles.

Cake-cutting, we are planning on "Grow Old with You" by Adam Sandler (was in the Wedding Singer).

Bouquet Toss is undecided by leaning to "This One's for the Girls" by Martina McBride.

Garter Toss is "Hot for Teacher" by Van Halen (I'm a teacher, FI thought it was funny).

And our last songs will be "Perfect Day" (Lady A) and "Today was a Fairytale" (T-Swift). 

We're asking for songs for our must-play list on the RSVP cards, so I'm excited for the feedback our guests give us!

I love the Pour some Sugar on me. My Dj was naming random crap when I booked him and he was like sugar sugar is a good one for cake, I was think nahh maybe pour some sugar lol! I don't think that would fly with my fiance though.

BP is walking into Sexy and I know It...the girls choice and the guys are sucking it up.

FI and I are walking into the Monday Night Football theme- everyone knows I am a psycho football fan- I even have a disclaimer on my company's website that I will not meet clients on Sunday during football season.

Our first dance is Only Girl but the version by Boyce Avenue.

We aren't doing any other dances except anniversary dance which we chose 3 songs- At Last, The Way You Look Tonight- Buble version and Van Morrison Into the Mystic.

Our last dance will be I'm Glad You Came.

And I am walking down the aisle to the Glasgow Theme from Love Actually and I know I am going to BAWL!!!!

I happen to like Twilight, no big deal I understand why most people don't, but I am in love with A Thousand Years. FI shot it down because I told him it was in Twilight even though that's not why I wanted it. Oh well, I wasn't stuck on it.

I have no idea what the BP is walking down the aisle, really have NO clue.

I'm walking down to an acoustic version of Here Comes the Sun by the The Beatles. A small tribute to my mother, but also my love of the Beatles.

Our first dance will be "Smother Me" by The Used. I was really conflicted about this for a while, but my dad's a DJ and he told me that he's heard thousands of first dance songs, and it's about a song that's important to FI and I. It helped keep me calm.

My father/daughter song is "My Little Girl." My dad played a list of songs for us that he had been thinking of and it just happened to be on there. I always thought it would be our song, so it's nice that we were on the same page.

The mother/son dance is going to be "Mom" by Lucero. My FMIL sent me a list of songs she had thought about it and I played them for FI. He loves the idea, and so do I.

I'm not sure about the WP entrance, because I'm not really sure if it's happening at all. I've brought it up to two of the bridesmaids before, but they weren't entertained.

Cake Cutting - I haven't even thought about it.

Boquet toss - I've considered Single Ladies, but I feel like it might be overdone.

Garter - No idea. lol.

Anniversary dance - I'm not sure, but I'm really excited to chose this one.

In all honesty, I will probably let my dad handle the music selection. I've seen him DJ many weddings and he's always done well. It's really a load off to know I have a DJ I can trust.

First dance: TBD, Options: I'm coming home-Daughtry (just realized songs have the same name, ha!), Home- Philip Phillips

My father/daughter song is probably going to be "My Little Girl." - Tim Mcgraw, My dad has serious issues letting go but he introduced me to Tim Mcgraw long ago so it fits us.

Mother/son dance: Wind beneath my wings which I feel he could find something better and not so cliche but I won't interfere.

Cake Cutting - Sea of Love- Cat Power

Boquet & Garter toss - TBD I'm thinking something cheeky like Artic Monkeys or The Fratellis

Anniversary dance - FI wants to play clips of songs by the decade- not sure yet.

I also kind of want to fit "Fools Rush In" by She and Him somwhere...
