Do people NOT know how to fill out RSVPs? It is killing me. Haha. That "M____" isn't there for looks and it'd be nice if you wrote how many people were attending instead of an X or a check mark. lol. Anyone else having RSVP issues?
Mine clearly say: "please INITIAL your entree choice" So far, everyone (but 2) have sent them in with either an 'x' or a check mark. So every couple who orders a prime rib and a sea bass.... I have NO IDEA who wants what and am now having to casually ask them which they prefer.
Haha, my fiance had a meltdown last weekend when he brought the mail in and every RSVP card that came back was filled out wrong. Ours said "___Will Attend, __Decline, and then we had a line that said "___ of _#ofguests__ will be attending". So all they had to do was check that they were attending or declining, and write in the number of people coming. So far, only about 1/3rd have been completed correctly.
I have 3 options for dinner. If a couple marks stuffed chicken and beef roulade. I just have been picking which one gets which thing and then if I got it wrong they can switch at the table. IF they dont clearly indacte I will give them what I feel like!
Our RSVP's are pretty basic...Name, attending, not attending. The problem we have though is that no one is actually returning the RSVP cards. Everyone is either calling or texting us to tell us they are coming or not coming!! It's really frustrating me! UGH!! I'm not always right on front of my guest list spreadsheet and it's getting difficult to remember everyone that calls, not to mention hoping fianc remembers to tell me everyone who has called him! Maybe I should just keep something on my phone to help remember! Lol! Oh the joys of planning a wedding! I think in our case most of our friends aren't married so they haven't had to deal with the drama!
Mine also say please INITIAL and easily like 90% of the invitations come back with numbers next to the choices instead. I need food choice counts, read jerks! I did however replace the "M__" with a simple line that says "Names___" instead. I tried really hard to idiot proof mine, but it sort of failed. No unnamed rsvp's at least though, so 50% of my efforts were worth it.
Mine had
m_______
___ graciously accepts
___ regretfully declines
And then it states "please indicate how many guests will be attending" and they just wrote It on there some wrote next to accept/decline. Other wrote elsewhere. And quite. Few drew me doodles, wrote a note on the RSVP (front or back).
We did manage to get a handful back with just accepts and a number marked. No name, no return addy....I felt like Sherlock Holmes!
My favorite was my friends response... She started on front. Wrote ms. Her and mr him, then wrote hearts all over the accepts, a pic of a man and a woman kissing, doodles, and kissed it with Bright red lipstick. Then the back said "I was there for the first kiss ever, you are crazy if you think ill miss this first kiss". Made me smile that she remembered.
Another fun one was, my cousin (ok ok my EXhusbands cousin who jokes that in the divorce I got her...she hasn't spoken to him since). The STD was her and BF.theyve since split but were giving her a plus 1 still. She wrote "hot cousin and hot cousins date" NO JOKE.
I thought we were going to have issues, but so far so good. We numbered them on the back in case we got blank ones back we would know who to call. But its only been a week of rsvp's, so I am sure there will someone who can't follow directions!
