Invitations and Save the Dates

Has anyone here looked into these yet? I will be purchasing my STDs this week hopefully. I will be using the same vendor for invites so I'll probably do those right behind the STDs to just get it done and put them away for when we're ready to send out.

I'm not doing STD, but I'll\\ve been looking around a bit for invitations.  I think I might end up DIY with the invitations though - I'm more likely to get something simple and to the point of what I want.
My mom might not be happy with that though.  She got a wedding invite in the mail last week and had to show it in detail to me over Skype.  She might be hoping for fancy invities . . . I'm going to break her little heart.  Sigh!

my fi has a graphic design degree so he wants to make these himself. so far he has designed our thank you's to the bridal party and our eparty invites.
