Acoustic guitar songs for ceremony.

I'm having my not-so-little brother play acoustic guitar for my ceremony, I may or may not have him sing a little as well. I'm looking for some ceremony music that will sound good with one acoustic guitar. Any suggestions would be helpful. I have a list of some that vary in genre:
"What a Wonderful World" - Louis Armstrong, "Grow Old With You" - Adam Sandler, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" - Israel, "You Make My Dreams Come True" - Hall & Oates, and "Top of the World" - The Carpenters...keep in mind these are just some that I like, but I'm not sure if they would all fit together.

Re: Acoustic guitar songs for ceremony.

  • The song choices for guitar sound fine. I would double check lyrics if he plans on singing.
  • My son and his friend are playing And I love her (Beatles) while the groom takes his place and Canon in D (Pachelbel) while I walk.
Depending on the timing, I think all of the songs you have would work. We found that using just the guitar (or maybe it's just my son) can change the length of the original songs, so if you are using a song for a purpose that needs a certain amount of time, ask your brother if he can time it while he's practicing to make sure that it matches up.
