FIs cousin just called me and told me that him and his siblings are making a speech at the Rehearsal Dinner and part of their speech, they are bringing out a cake and singing happy birthday to FI.
He said FIs mom called to tell them I already got a cake, and he wants to know if they should plan to use my cake or if they should get their own and have 2 cakes.
Since we chose our wedding date over a year ago I have been planning to bring out this Rangers themed cake for FI and have everyone sing happy bday to him - I've been so excited for that moment because I know how much he would love it and appreciate that I got him his ice cream cake after all... and the Rangers are playing Sat which is awesome timing... well, that is not an option anymore because his cousins are leading everyone in Happy Bday either way. Clearly telling them not to would be seriously psychotic.
These are the 3 options I see:
1, Purchase my cake as is and let them give it to Fi, I'll be no part of it
2, Call and cancel the cake I ordered and give the Rangers cake toppers to his cousins to
put on their own cake, I'll be no part of it but at least he'll have a Rangers cake.
3, Call and cancel the cake I ordered and save the Rangers cake toppers for another year (next year is his 30th bday..)
