So, I am pretty sure I have lost all decorating power to my future mother in law and her sister, I had the idea of a somewhat rustic, casual wedding. Turquoise and yellow for my colors. Painted mason jars with flowers in them for centerpieces with some small candles surrounding it...... Strings of lights along the rafters of the barn we are having the reception in. BUT apparently my FH's mom and sister have bought things to make vases with butterflies on them, "wedding bell" decorations, wedding bows...... All things that I cannot STAND. I dont want to be rude and say I dont think the ideas, especially since they are paying for it!! We are having a pretty much DIY wedding so the help is awesome. Do I open my mouth and say something (politely, of course) or do I just suck it up and be grateful. I almost feel bad havong this negativity, I know they are just trying to help.....
