Sooo what's new??

I'm trying to take care of detail things so they won't sneak up on us.  I found a birdcage cardbox for $15 on the wedding classifieds, so I picked that up yesterday, and I got a cake serving set for $5 off ebay.

We're also trying to figure out transportation options, which I dont like! I fill out online quote forms and never get emails back, or just get emails telling me to call.  Annoying.

    I haven't posted here in a few months, but I'm only 10 days from my wedding!!  Almost everything is done except I have to make the card box, print programs and seating cards, print out some little signs for the reception, buy pop/mixers for the bar, assemble the cookie to-go boxes, and pack up all of my decorations for the reception.  Okay, once it's all written out like that, it seems like I have a lot left.  :)  I took off from work all next week so I should have plenty of time though!

    Well....I am getting married this Friday so my excitement is starting to boil over!!!
    Today I am going to pick up my wedding dress along with my sister's maid of honor dress, and tonight we get FI's tux.  I feel like mostly everything is done, but that I am forgetting something!  I think I am probably worried about nothing!  The forcast looks great for Friday so right now I am feeling pretty calm  :)

    With a little over 9 months to go I got my DJ booked on Friday. I leave for vacation on Friday so all attention is on that..kinda.. When I come back I plan on hitting the wedding planning hard with finding a bakery(probably Oakmont Bakery), hair stylists, and nailing down reception details! Don't worry I'll have my copy of The Knot Mag. tucked in my beach bag! Cool

    We settled on a bridesmaid dress color (plum from DB) and are now trying to find a DJ. We initially weren't going to have one and just do the ipod thing, but after thinking about it we realized we want people to stick around the reception for as long as possible. And that will likely only happen if we have a DJ. So now we're trying to find a DJ in our budget, which is pretty difficult.
