It's officially official: invitation order has been PLACED! (Just got the confirmation email!)

@libby18bell, is there something in particular to your relationship? like, where you met or something you like to do together, or an inside joke or a game you like to play? (like say... you & your FH love to play, I don't know, Monopoly. you could DIY a cardbox that looks like a Monopoly board with places you have lived, want to visit, been on dates, etc)

This weekend I picked up my invitations (super early because a few have to get sent to international guests early so they can arrange for travel visas), and I also picked wedding shoes! They are none of the ones that I said I might wear in the shoe thread but I love them even more I think...

lplions, that's a brilliant idea.  Hmmm FI introduced the game Mexican train to my family, and it's a huge family game on his side.  So I could try and make a domino, or hockey is pretty big in our group and FI loves the sport, so I could do a hockey puck.  Hmmm the reception is at a library so the hockey puck may look semi funny.  Loving the idea thought though.

Janenella, great shoes.  Love the print.  No idea how you're going to last the summer without wearing them ahead of time.

What about just a basic bird cage? It's overdone and doesn't really relate to cards if you think about it, but they are pretty easy to come by.

I haven't posted progress in forever.  But here's recent news

Officiant booked

Wedding rings purchased

FI's suit purchased

Invites are in.  I need to cut my mats and then they can be assembled. 

I *think* people are working on a shower but I am clueless.  I was asked about dates and for copies of my guest list and contacts.  

Glad to see everyone else moving right along too.

Thanks Steph! I am pretty excited to meet my new little niece/nephew - though she's due in January so it will be a while. :-)

Love the progress and the shoe photos! As for being done done, not quite...still have to get the invitations made and out, and hammer out the rehearsal dinner menu. But those are the last few things on my list other than the signage

Holy heck, why does my avatar keep changing? And Stina, congrats to your BFF!!

I feel bad for my eldest male cousin, who is slightly older than FI. He and his GF have been together for six months longer than FI and I, and now that I'm getting married his mom has started hinting that he needs to propose, now. She's even giving him wedding magazine subscriptions as a "subtle hint." Uh, Auntie, that's not subtle and men don't do hints.

I think we have all the big stuff done also.  I just need to get my butt in gear if I want to look fabulous for our honeymoon.  So far I've been doing a steady 5 days a week working out, but I think I may need to throw in a few double sessions since my morning workouts aren't long since I don't have a ton of time.
