Skateboarding Theme

Hello!  We are having an outdoor wedding, early fall in New England. I want to incororate a skateboarding theme. How do I do this in a classy fun cool way? HELP !!!!!!!!!! Ideas please!

    Skateboard Wedding Theme Ideas

    Guest book: You could get an actual skateboard or get a piece of wood, tin, posterboard in the shape of a skateboard for people to sign which you could then display in your home. click me 

    Photos: You could really capture your passion for skateboards during the engagement photos and even on the wedding day by having them in some of the photos. 

    Cake topper: I've seen a few different toppers featuring skateboards and you could probably find one on Etsy.com. Here is an example of one I found quickly although it's a bit pricey: click me

    Grooms cake

    Escort cards: Your escort cards or the board that they are displayed on could be in the shape of a skateboard. If you have the money, you could find miniature skateboards to use as the prop for the tag: click me

    Table names: You could name the tables after different skateboarding tricks. If you go this route, I would recommend you setup the tables in alphabetical order so guests don't have to wander around looking for the "Kickflip" table. 

    Reception decoration: Depending on your budget, you could replace the typical stones/pebbles found inside floral arrangements with small skateboard parts like bolts, nuts, etc. If you are both skateboarders, you could use photos of you two skating around your city or old skate photos from over the years for your table centerpieces. If you name the tables after tricks, perhaps you could try to photograph yourselves performing those tricks so the photo could match the table name. Be careful though, no one wants an injured bride!

    I recently saw the cake topper that Fluffy has shown you on a cake (via facebook pics) of a girl whose husband is a skateboarder and everyone thought it was downright adorable!  I'm sure if you google you can find it elsewhere for a better price, if it's something you're interested in.

    How about the using a skateboard to write sweethearts on for the sweetheart table, save the date or invite couple shot with you guy on or with a board, cup cakes sat on skateboards at different levels. Just a few ideas to add small touches and I will post more if any come to mind.
