Hi! I'm new to the website and recently engaged as of yesterday! Can you tell I'm excited? I'm planning for a wedding in 2014 sometime after September. What should my first step be?

    Make a budget. Figure out a guest list. Research venues. Talk to Fi and get an idea if the kind of wedding that you both envision big, small, church,etc..

    Sit down with your fiance and decide what kind of wedding you both want and figure out what your budget will be. Who will be paying?  Is it you and your fiance, or have your parents offered to help? Come up with a tentative guest list, and then start looking for venues that meet your needs as far as budget and size.
