North NJ Photographers!

Hi ladies!

When it comes to photos, I am not a fan of the "cheesy" pictures. I don't want 1,000 pictures of us looking into each other eyes. I love the more artistic/candid approach. Can anyone reccomened any photographers?

Check out Julian Ribinik Photography, definitely none of that cheesy stuff; they are great and pictures came out crisp, candid and gorgeous.

I chose Dean Michaels Studio, check him out he's photojournalistic and amazing!

Look at Robert Wayne Photography.  We found him through recommendations in this forum.  To us, his photos look natural and fun.

We're using Dawn Joseph Photography. She's awesome, talented, and doesn't like cheesy photos either. She responds to emails and phone calls right away, and is probably my favorite vendor so far.

they do a two camera shoot - one edgy and one traditional for a mix of photo styles.  very nice and very reasonable - around $2000

I chose Dean Michaels Studio as well. I am just like you and I can't stand the thought of any cheesy pictures, and I would rather more candids. I also don't love heavily edited pictures. I told Nichola that right off the bat at our first meeting, and she showed me pictures exactly like the ones I wanted and I absolultely fell in love! They're perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Definitely look into them! They're located in Madison & Wayne.

What are typical prices for photographers around here?  I'm not looking for too extensive of a package.

They vary widely.  You can get someone off of Craigs List for <$1,000.  You can pay more than $10k for a top name.  We found that for good quality and reliability, most photographers were in the $3k - $4k range including some things like an album, parent albums, second photographer, etc.
