Reasonably priced videographer

So we keep hearing we asbolutely need a videographer for our wedding...but unfortunately it seems out of our budget.

Unless, we find one within a cheaper range...say under a thousand. We know it won't be the best but at least we will have something. So if any help you can give would be appreciated!

  • Your best to simply go to CraigsList to find one.  They're out there, but it's always a gamble.
  • try george segale films.... I dont know how they charge for just video, but we used them as a package with our photographer. I know they have many different package prices so it doesnt hurt to give them a call and see what they would charge.

  • I found NST pictures. The first package they have for video starts at 895. I haven't really looked into them, I just know their price.
  • We went with John Jae and I believe their beginning package is 1100 but remember everything is negotiable...I would check out their website their work is fabulous!
  • My FI's friend is using Generic Brand Human. I believe she said they had a package that was around $1000.00

This is not true.  We met with him 3 years ago b/c we saw on his website he had options for less than $1000.  When we met with him he told us he charges by the hour, and to meet our budget it would have meant getting no video of me or my FI getting ready and we'd have to move our cake cutting an hour early because he told us flat out that as soon as the cake is cut, he is outta there.  I found his arrogance so off-putting as well.  I'd love to recommend our videographer, but unfortunately they went up on price quite a bit since we booked them.  We took a chance with an up and coming videography team, and it worked to our favor.  We didn't pay much and they gave us a ton of extras and time on our wedding day.  I say look around on sites like Craigslist and meet with the people and have them show you samples of their work.  If you're comfortable with them and like what you see, then go for it.

  • there is the option to just get raw footage for now and have them tape all day and then maybe after the wedding have them edit when you get more money together. that is what we are doing. We are paying more money because they are there all day, video every aspect and are making a few recap edits. we will have a full video edit after the wedding but my fiance's sister is just getting raw footage for now and going to try to edit it through iphoto afterwards and is paying less than 1k. I will ask her the company again in case you would like to check them out.
