I have a Justin Alexander lace dress and need to get it shortened by a few inches. The boutique at which I bought the dress doesn't handle alterations but warned me that lace gowns are more difficult to shorten and to get a good seamstress for alterations. The problem is, I'm having a hard time finding any reviews for alterations around here! Any suggestions? I live in Berrien Springs but am willing to travel a bit to make sure it's done well.
