2nd Dress Fitting

So after a pretty disasterous first fitting, I went back last night for my second and it was spot on. I was soooo relieved.

It just needs a few adjustments and a steaming. I go back to pick it up in about a week and half.

I got my dress and alterations from MB Bride. The first fitting was with a foreign women who tried insert pickups as a means of avoiding hemming my dress. Last night ,it was hemmed and the bustle was great. This was another concern bc my dress is asymetrical, but they did a great job in the end!

    I forgot to ask...

Under my dress, I am not wearing a slip. During my fitting, I was hot and my legs became sticky. My dress is a little narrow at the hips and I'm a little curvy. Do you guys know of anything that I could wear to keep my legs from essentially getting stuck together? TIA!

I am thinking you mean like having your thighs rub together?  There is something that runners use, I can't remember what it is, that they rub on the insides of their thighs to prevent chafing.  I think some people use deodorant too.  Maybe a bit of that would do the trick?

Yep, Ash that's what I was talking about. :-)

I'll have to check with runner friends to see if they come up with what you're thinking of--that's a great idea.

I was thinking undergarments with legs yesterday but realized that dress is fitted from top to my hip area. That would make bathroom breaks an impossibility...

I'll let you know, DB, what I come up with...

We were just talking about this on my month board - one runner recommended Body Glide.  She said you can get it at REI (along with, I'm sure, other places)
