I am an accountant for a manufacturing company. I LOVE IT!!!! I get to do everything here. I used to work for a big oil company where I was very specialized (sales tax accounting and derivatives accounting). It is awesome that I see all the little details now and how it fits in the big picture!
Plus I wear jeans to work...bonus for accounting!
Pittsburgh September Siggy - Our honeymoon will be at the Royal Suites Turquesas in P*nta Cana. Super excited!
I'm currently working as an Architect in a firm in Philly.... however.... I'm also in grad school to get my Master's degree in Elementary and Special Education
I'm an unemployed interior designer. No jobs in Pittsburgh it seems! I have an associate's in Architecture, and a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design. It looks like I will be going for a Master's because I can't find a job and I don't want to just sit around and do nothing!

I have a friend who works for the VA Hospital and loves it. Last I heard they are hiring. Look at USA Jobs.
I work for Uncle Sam. I travel to different locations and do a form of auditing. I love that my hotel points will be totally paying for my honeymoon.
I worked in public accounting (PwC) for about 2 years in Louisville, but now I work at a small publically traded company that is affliated with Dental Practices around the country. I am in charge of all the accounting for a dental practice in Oklahoma.

How funny! Hahaha... oh the joys of big four accounting... I bet we have some stories we could swap lol.
My FI worked at PwC for 5-6 years. He left the week before he was promoted to manager to work at PPG. The partners threw a fit when he left :-)
I work front desk at a Periodontist's office in Morgantown, WV.
Not sure how much longer though as my fiance is leaving and heading to Chicago for the next 3-5 months. I might be a stay at home Mom with my dogs before heading out to join him after our October wedding. Would be fine with me - I'd be able to focus on the wedding full time.
I've worked from for a bank in Cleveland for the last 3 years. I lived there a while after college. And on Monday I will start at a bank downtown in Pittsburgh! Ready to get out of my jammies and back in work clothes. I was a product manager and now I will be a risk officer. So impressed with how fabulous you ladies are
jlbaxter33 - go nail that Corbett budget b/c the district I'm in that was supposed to have 4 new contracts available (and I was definitely hoping one had my name on it since I've been there for 3 years) now has none! I'm tried of job hunting every spring!
I'm a supervising support coordinator (basically case manager) for people with intellectual disabilities. Not that I don't love my job but hopefully I will be finding a new one a lot closer to home asap!
I am an under-employeed elementary/middle school math teacher (substituting :P). I spent two years doing AmeriCorps, and have nothing to show for it. I'm hoping to get out of the area soon so I can have my own classroom. Tomorrow, I'll start my two day stint in Learning Support!
I'm the Coordinator for International Admissions at the University of Maryland.. although I am on the lookout for another job in the higher ed field (don't tell my supervisor!!).
I'm a manager of an accounting department at a university in Pittsburgh. Another accountant who gets to wear jeans to work! :-) And only work 4 days a week... another big bonus!!
I'm also in grad school for my MBA... only one more year left! Then who knows what... lol.
Coming from PwC it's weird to wear jeans to work on casual Friday at my office. Occasionally we get to wear jeans all week (holidays and some closes). I can't imagine wearing jeans all the time though! Craziness to me!

I advocate to Congress and the Administration on career and technical education, specifically funding and workforce development/training issues.
The only item I will not compromise on...my bouquet of all purple tulips wrapped in a swatch from my Mom's wedding dress.

And we are a very smart group.
