On-Site Hair and Make-Up Suggestions??

I'm looking for reviews of on-site hair and make-up teams.  I am getting married in Pittsburgh in October and will be getting ready at the Sheraton in Station Square.  I have a party of 6 maids and 2 moms that would need hair done.  I have my own girl doing my hair.  I really don't want to worry about running around and getting to and from a salon that morning, unless anyone knows of a reasonable one nearby? 

For anyone who's paid to get their make-up done, was it worth the money or would you rather have splurged on your own make-up to do it yourself?

I am using Beauty by Joy for makeup and Brooke Rockwell for hair. Both are on site and I loved them for my trials! After having my makeup trial with the airbrush makeup, I am SO glad I am going that route. We did our e-pics that day in the hot summer weather, went to dinner, then I took a nap, and it still looked amazing when I woke up! haha.

I would look to see if Brooke Rockwell is available for your hair. Her and her sister are widely recommended on this board. Brooke and her friend are doing my hair, plus 5 BMs, 2 FGs, and MOB all in 3 hours the day of my wedding. Her sister was going to help but they already had one wedding booked that day so they split up in order to do mine too.

I am using Pink City Artistry for my make up and Brooke Rockwell for my hair for my wedding in October. I booked them a month ago and half of the people I contacted were already booked.

i need suggestions too! Someone's gotta have another suggestion for hair, everyone says this brooke person. i called her yesterday and she's booked the day of my wedding! keep the suggestions coming ladies......

Check with Pretty Hair Salon! We used them for my wedding, and they travel to you! At least they did in June 2011! Definitely recommend them!

I used Pittsburgh Makeup and Synergy Salon (Ashley Stoken).... Both were FANTASTIC!

I'm using Brooke too for my hair, but Elisha Evans work looks good too.  She does on site, and prices very reasonable for both hair +/- makeup.  Not sure about your budget, but others I looked into: Beauty by Joy, Beauty Justified (Justine Kolano) and Allison Roth Studio.

I'm using Clare Lozano for make up, her company name is Ciel Cosmetics. She did a great job at my friend's wedding last year. She does all airbrush and she's very affordable.

For hair I agree with one of the PP about using your normal salon for recommendations. We are going to my normal salon the morning of, but I did discuss the possibility of bringing my regular stylist on site instead. You may be able to make similar arragements.

getting frustrated.....I've called Elisha Evans, Beauty Justified, and a place called Simply Captivating for on-site hair.  All of them are booked.  I also tried Brooke Rockwell and haven't gotten a response yet.  I didn't think i was behind on booking hair now for a May 2014 wedding - cheez!!

I booked a full year ahead for hair and makeup. I came on here one day and people were freaking out about how hard that was to book - so I figured I better lock it down. It's nutso. But especially for fall weddings it's a sellers market. more fall brides than vendors.

I HIGHLY recommend Lisa from Kiss and MakeUp.  Her and her crew did everyones make-up for my friends wedding a few years ago, and although her prices are a little on the higher end it was DEFINITELY worth every penny!  After a night full off drinking, dancing, (and sweating) I walked into the hotel room bathroom and looked in the mirror.  My make-up had not budged, smeared, melted or anything!  It looked like she had just applied it!  I knew, once I got engaged, I wanted no one else to do my make-up on my special day.  I just booked her 13 months in advance (just to make sure).  She is very friendly, she gets back to you very quickly, and her fun personality makes her a joy and puts you such at ease!  Hope that helps!
