burlap, anyone???

Hi everyone! 

I saw a book at B&N recently that sums up my vision: rustic chic. My vision was inspired by a reception table that I saw on a venue website. It was a white table linen with a burlap runner. It was simple, yet classic...I love it. Our colors will be sage green and browns, and I want to incorporate burlap at the reception, and maybe with the flowergirl basket and ringbearer pillow. My centerpiece idea is little white and/or yellow flowers in mason jars, and wrapping the mason jar with a strip of burlap, then wrapping that with a sage green ribbon/bow.

Any ideas for incorporating burlap for pew bows? (We are getting married in a Catholic Church, which is so beautiful inside that we won't need to do much decorating for the ceremony.)

Try searching on Pinterest - I always see TONS of burlap projects on there.

Burlap has such a universal use- from table runners to bows on jars/candle holders/ wine bottles the list goes on. hit up pintrest for sure!

Burlap is one of the trendiest fabrics at the moment, so you should be able to find a lot by looking on Pinterest or Google.  However, keep in mind that people have strong feelings one way or the other about it! (Hopefully people can keep their mouth shut if they don't like it, but people don't always have good manners.)

Remember that burlap while rustic is very itchy. I am also planning a rustic event, but I am going to try to only use burlap sparingly.

There is a ton with burlap on pinterest...but be careful...its a popular look on pinterest but in my opinion in stinks!   Using too much can also be messy, its rough and falls apart.
