Hi ladies!  This week has gone soooo fast!  Anything to AW?

Nothing WR for me this week.  I've been too busy to plan!

NWR, we put in an offer on a house and it wasn't accepted.    If you live in the area, you probably heard of the house, actually - it's in Avalon and the police officer next door got arrested for breaking in to use the washer/dryer.  Ironically, we toured the police officer's house and the house we wanted last week - the house we wanted was so much nicer!  I'm going without my FI to check out another property today right after work.  Fingers crossed!

WR- Met with another photographer, Tiffany from Hot Metal Studios. We liked her a lot!!! Might meet with a few more though.

NWR- I will be putting my 2 weeks in soon and move at the end of the month! So exciting and scary. Still no job lined up but I can't take the distance anymore!

Sunday I am driving up to Bethlehem, PA to meet with my designer for my wedding dress. I am good friends with Pam Ptak who was on Project Runway season 7 and she agreed to make me a one of a kind! So pumped!!!

Hi everyone! We're having engagement pics done this weekend so ive been crazy busy get everything ready for that. WR, I'm a bit concerned about finding a photographer one doing e pics is good friend who will be a guest at the wedding. There was one who was supposed to call me at the end of last month to set up a mtg but never did. Another one was kind of hard to get in touch w but that may have been mostly due to her own wedding, but also never got back to me with a possible meeting time. Do you ladies have a personal "rule" for that type of thing? Would you give photographer one last call or just move on to someone else? Thanks!

Ugh, I would be hesitant to get involved with someone who blew me off.  Give them one more chance and then move on.

Alternately, an officiant I was *thinking* of using apparently bought my information from one of the bride shows I went to that sold my info (the one in March at the Convention Center)....now I DON'T want to use him.  It just reeks of desparation to me.

Hi Everyone!

WR- We got our save the dates design back from the graphic designer! We're going with a rock-in-roll themed reception, and they're modeled after an old concert poster-love them! Our menu tasting is next week, as well as flowers and cake meetings! Wedding planning is in full force!!

NWR-Met with the pastor for pre-wedding counseling. Good lord he asked some uncomfortable questions! Anybody else have awkward experiences with their pastors/officiants?

Hey, sounds like everyone is doing great!

WR- Set up some appointments for dress shopping for the 18th!  My cousin and aunt will be going with me since I am sans mother, I'm pretty excited about it.  I have been dodging dress shopping since the beginning,but it's time to start looking and figure out at least a style from what I'm told.
We also found our off., very excited about that! Although worried for questions.

mcdonaa: what type of awkward questions should I be ready for????

We put in an offer on that other house tonight.  I REALLY want this one, even if we'd have to spend a little more to get all the appliances (it only comes with an ancient gas stove).

was it Caitlin Thomas? I emailed her twice (before and WELL after her own wedding)! Nothing. A friend of mine who is also getting married emailed her twice, but she got a response!   Not cool at all!  I moved on to the rest in my Top 5 list.

Yes actually! That is so weird... Makes me wonder what could be going on. Maybe she likes to shoot at certain venues but not others? Did u tell her where u were getting married?

i think if you havent heard from someone after multiple emails you shouldnt waste anymore time. especially with photography, since its usually one of the most expensive things (at least for me). i hope you can find someone who is more responsive!

for me, WR, just trying to narrow down options for invites and rehearsal dinner. also have a plan for pre cana, and hopefully the limo we want is still available for us. i got the quote 6 months ago but we kept putting off booking since we werent sure what we wanted to do. that time sure flew by!

NWR, i went "camping" last weekend in cook forest. meaning we stayed in a cabin with a bathroom and TV. but we cooked hotdogs and smores over a fire so it counts this weekend i am going to the pirates game and get to see boyz 2 men! throwback!

@ rooey- I did send her the venue in one of my emails to her but I couldn't find the 2nd one. The friend of mine that she did email back, is also getting married at the same venue. Regardless of her preference in venues, she should still respond!
On to the next one! There are plenty other photogs in her price range that are good so it's her loss. I just wonder how many other girls are still waiting an email back!!
