XP: Bible readings

I posted this on the Christian board with only a couple of replies so I thought I'd try elsewhere...

We are struggling to decide which two bible verses we'd like read at our wedding by our aunts...  What did you choose?  I'd rather not have anything that is regarding marriage between a male and a female (we support gay marriage) or ones about women being subordinate to men.  Thanks for suggestions!

Do you want them to be about marriage at all? DF and I will have some semi-random ones that we love for various reasons... Philippians 4:4-6, Proverbs 29:16 and possibly one from Leviticus 6.

We used this also. I didnt want to use "love is patient, love is kind," I have heard it at too many weddings.

Here are a few readings that were suggested in our marriage prep book that may fit what you are looking for. Along with 1 Corinthians 12:31 - 13:8 which has already been mentioned by previous posters and I have heard at many different weddings.

And over all these put on love,
that is, the bond of perfection. (Colossians 3:12-17)

God is love (1 John 4:7-12)

Let marriage be held in honor by all. (Hebrews 13:1-4a, 5-6b)

The God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:4-9)
