Apples vs. Pumpkins October Wedding

I am getting married in October and love the idea of using either apples or pumpkins for my centerpieces. I am having a hard time deciding on which one to pick or should I use both? The wedding is October 4th. Please help!!! Thank you :)

    Why not create a beautiful harvest cornucopia using both apples and pumpkins? You can also incorporate other gourds, dried corn, reeds and flowers. 

    I'd find a good florist and ask for some suggestions as well as peruse Pinterest for decor ideas. Actually, that is exactly what I did... but my wedding is in June. However, I did consider an October/ November wedding with a autumn harvest theme. If I were you I'd definitely find ways to incorporate both apples and pumpkins.
