I can't believe it but our big day has come and gone! Now I am back to repay the favor and give some reviews of our vendors.
VENUE: Butternut Farm, Stow. BEST VENUE EVER. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. I was dead set on getting married on a farm so we checked this place out.... and rolled up to a golf club, which I was dead set on NOT doing. But it was GORGEOUS- it looks like a big, welcoming, yellow Victorian with a wrap around farmer's porch just waiting for you to take pictures on. The staff was superb, food was amazing, and it fit well within our modest budget. I will actual miss these people now that the wedding is over!
PHOTOGRAPHER: Doros Photography, Shrewsbury. They were wonderful! They provided lots of direction without being pushy or in the way, and the shots are fabulous. We enjoyed working with them and my sister will be using them for her wedding in September! Looking forward to seeing them again. This is a husband/wife team who work flawlessly together. I won a discount in a wedding show raffle, otherwise they would have been a bit over my budget (but I also realize my budget was relatively small for vendors). My sister is going to get everything she wants from her deal with them and they were really open to working with her on the price.
DJ: White Label Wedding DJs; DJ Adam O, Boston. Music was important to us- we didn't want some cheeseball to annoy our guests all night and Adam was perfect! He shared our taste in music and had everyone dancing all night. He was present without overdoing it on the mic, he announced everything professionally and with enthusiasm but definitely did not make it all about himself. Perfection.
CAKE: The Bean Counter Bakery, Shrewsbury. We knew we were going to get our cake form the Bean Counter well before we even got engaged! Hands down our favorite bakery- this was a no brainer. They worked with us on price, did a great job, and the cake was delicious. We got a chocolate cake with a raspberry buttercream filling and everyone is still talking about how good it was.
