I was having a hard time finding a reasonably priced photograph and DJ that were good so I posted an ad on Craigslist. My ad stated my wedding date and how much I wanted to pay and I got TONS of responses. Granted some of them were a little sketchy but I found four photographers that were established in other cities but just moved back to Pittsburgh. They were hoping to start a business in Pittsburgh but weren't established here. I got mine for $500/ 8 hrs and I get all the rights for reprints.
I got the idea my my FI's cousin. She couldn't pay much for a photographer but was able to book a very reputable photographer for cheap because they needed to fill some weekends.
