Is anyone else doing a dessert bar or candy bar? Maybe popcorn? If we do this should we do a full dinner?  That and my venue comes with dinner but...... Do I HAVE to?
FI wants a traditional wedding being its his first and my second and OUR last ;)
Not that I've had "My Wedding" but i'm not wanting big and glamorous. I'm not that kind a gal. Even tho I could do so and have been planning for such... And I found my dress if we do, however its not as tho I have to have any of it. I mean my last wedding all took place in a backyard lasted a total of 2 hours and consisted of a $20 dress form Wal-mart. LOL. I'm a simple gal.... I told him if he was to buy me a ring ever NEVER get me diamonds... Roses or chocolate.... I really don' fancy them at all....
FI however... he's that kind a guy.... lol

If you are having your wedding at a meal time then yes, you need to serve dinner.  If at a non-meal time, desserts and drinks are fine.

We're doing a dessert bar instead of a traditional wedding cake... mini cupcakes and mini cake pops, cheesecake, brownies, and several types of cookies...  I love variety  :)

    Take care,
    Kim

  • Dessert bars are great. Snacks and popcorn are a great after dinner treat, especially if there will be drinking.  PP is right.  If your wedding will be over a meal time (lunch or dinner),you need to serve a meal
