What's Left to do

So for something fun what do you girls still have to do on your checklist?
We still have to write out the ceremony, and then work on programs and menu cards.  Basically all the tree killing stuff is left sadly.

What is something fun you have left?
Shopping for honeymoon clothes.  I want to get a new swim suit and some other fun dresses to take with us.  I typically where boring clothes every day, black and tailored clothes, so buying this type of clothes will be fun.

Re: What's Left to do

  • We have to register this weekend, which I'm half looking forward to, half dreading!

We also need to schedule engagement photos which will be fun, and plan out our mini-moon after the wedding!
  • I'm currently online window shopping for the honeymoon clothes.  Thinking a ton of black wouldn't be the best thing for the Caribbean.
  • What do we not have left to do?

Still need to do: Programs, make up the "toss" stuff (lavandar in those little baggies), choose ensemble for the men, menu tasting/choose food, solidify cake ideas, dance song choices, decide all flower choices, address and send invites, buy ring for FI, order favors, finalize vows and ceremony with pastor, final dress fitting, choose veil, table numbers, escort cards. I'm sure there's more.

I actually don't mind doing this type of stuff, so it will all be handled and is basically under control as is.

So, all of the above is semi-fun to me. I don't think I will need to shop for our honeymoon (although I did buy stuff for Bermuda last year - not outfits to wear, but sportswear type stuff, like active shoes and sun protection shirts and waterproof cases for our passports and money.) Since we are visiting a city, it's more jeans and sweaters and scarfs with some formal stuff for dinner. We already both have a lot of that, although it sounds fun. (What about lingerie?)

We all have the same type of stuff left to do - things that we can't do until we know that actual number and names of guests coming.

  • Ahh sewinlove, I semi forgot about he lingerie.  Victoria's Secrets has their semi annual sale in June, which I always hit up anyways, but now I get to shop for more fun stuff.

I love the idea of golfing the day before the wedding.  I'm probably the only one who is going to do a workout the morning of the wedding.  It's my way of de-stressing, so just a quick zumba class, or a walk with my sister should do it.

Haha! I actually added "check out VS semi annual sale" to my TK checklist so I wouldn't forget. :D

    • Finalize menu
    • Book the rehearsal dinner (which means I need to talk to FH and make sure his parents have done that)
    • Make honeymoon travel plans
    • Finalize GM's attire
    • Assemble & address & mail invites
    • Programs
    • Decide if we're doing favors or not
    • Get my dress fitted (and find an alterations place)
    • Move (although I don't know where or when yet - that depends entirely on my company)
    • Figure out what's going to happen with the cats while I'm away
    • Make music selections
    • Figure out ceremony readings, and get them approved by the church
    • Order FH's cufflinks
    • Write my letter to him
    • Get bridal party gifts
    • Get my medical records from Mom so we can get our marriage license
    • Get the marriage license
    • Hair & makeup trials
    • Talk to MOH & BM about their dresses & shoes
    • Finish all of my projects!!! (bouquets, bouts, card box, veil, etc etc)
There's still so much to do.....

ETA: All of the above is more fun than not fun, because it means we are one checklist item closer to being done the wedding preparation!
  • I'm in the same boat as lplions. I have a lot to do, and I have a wedding planner (that my friends insisted on) but don't see the point, she's not doing much or maybe my concept of a wedding planner is off.
