Mandalay Bay Flowers

Hi!  We are getting married at MB in October.  I'm not really a big flower person and I am having trouble envisioning what I want.  Does anyone have pictures of their bouquets and what kind of flowers are in it?  I'm thinking some visuals would help me figure it out.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Mandalay Bay Flowers

  • My coordinator has added this to be made for my bouquet :)

VG, do you remember if MB considered this a small, med, or large bouquet? Also, do you mind sharing the approximate cost?

Heres mine. I asked for a large white and dark pink rose bouquet but suprise suprise they gave me a ivory and bubble gum pink bouquet soooo since their flowers are ordered at different times of the year they are not always exactly what you want. I was flexible and told them to bring me a spring mix in the colors i requested and they did. My bouquet is equivalent to a large size so if you want a custom bouquet its going to be bigger and alot more $$ send your coordinator pictures of what u want and they will consult with the floral dept to determine price quotes for u. For the above bouqet it looks like one in the 2013 brouchure for around $300 maybe more but they quote u on the type of flowers how many stems etc, mine was included in my package.

  • All that helps me a lot!  Thanks!

We used The Palette.  At first we tried to use MB because the amount spent would go towards our F&B minimum but they were so hard to work with we gave up, and in hindsight, glad we did.

I didn't think that you could use her for the bouquet. I thought that I had to use MB florist.

  • Oops yeah I didn't realize we were talking MB chapel.  They do require you use their floral.  Of course, and I know it's a waste of money, if their floral is incapable of doing their jobs, which is the impression I got when we attempted to use them, you could probably purchase the cheapest bouquet option and get a third party to do the real one, then just ditch theirs on wedding day.  I can't see a coordinator stopping you and saying hey you have to carry this one, but you never know. :-)

The primary person we had to deal with at MB floral was:

RICK X. PHETMYXAY Fresh Cut Floral at Mandalay Bay

He was completely useless.  He actually sent us an answer to a question I had asked five weeks after we had decided to not use them; I'm like you're a little bit late with that info.

Great! Lol. I sent pics this morning to them for price estimates. I'm scared for their response. I might do the switch. :)

  • I had my MB coordinator send me their bouquets and I went with # 10.  Of course my package had a large bouquet included and there was STILL a $150 upgrade fee!!  But, I really liked it so I just went with it.  If your coordinator has not sent you the floral brochure, have her send it.  You could even see one you like and change it up some. ??

And here I thought the large bouquet upgrade wouldn't be as much! My package comes with the small bouquet which just wasn't going to cut it for me LOL So of course I needed a bigger and better bouquet which ended up being a $264.00 upgrade fee!
  • Wow that's a lot I upgraded too but it was only 80 extra lol

  • I am also an October Mandalay Bay bride. We have the Sun Kissed Bliss package which comes with a medium bridal bouquet and boutenniere (sp), in our worksheets there are some selections of choices that are included.  I am going to have an ivory rose bouquet and then purchase additional flowers for all of our bridal party etc. I am happy with the Ivory rose bouquets and don't think an upgrade will be necessary, our colors are chocolate brown, clover green and ivory.

I haven't really seen exact samples, all of the bouquet gallery pics are for upgraded flowers and I am not putting out that extra $$$ especially since we are prob not going to be able to see them again after the weekend or take them home in our suitcase!

What is your wedding date jlschell? and congrats

  • I agree...I'm probably not going to do any kind of an upgrade.  The package comes with a large bouquet.  All of these comments have been helpful like everything else on these boards!

Congrats to you too!  We are getting married on Oct. 18th.  When are you getting married?

  • October 19th!!!! :)

  • That's fun!!   Hope your wedding planning is going as well as mine is!

  • Wow! Both of you were married just a few days ago and I just happened to stumble upon this board.  Curious to know how everything went! I am working on my workbook right now and the flower portion is a little exhausting on this end! I wish I had an idea of what the spring mix bouquet looks like.  I'm learning towards an ivory rose bouquet or a white spring mix. Do either of you have pictures of your bouquets? I imagine with your weddings having just happened you may not see this for a while. :)

I'm getting married at the Valley of the Falls location on December 14th.  Fingers crossed it's not FREEZING cold!! :)
  • I am curious what the medium bouquets turned out like also, as that is what is included in our package. We are only paying for a small upgrade fee and adding some additional bouquets, boutinierres and corsages.

Our wedding is next month and looking ahead at weather, the highs are saying 50s and lows in the 30s. Can't imagine December will be better! :(
  • Hi! I just saw this posting! Our package came with a large bouquet and then we did pay for a couple extra boutinierres and corsages. I think I chose the tropical bouquet and I absolutely loved it. I had no idea what to expect but I thought it was beautiful! My sister had a smaller version of mine so it was probably a medium bouquet. I couldn't find a good picture of our bouquet because they are mostly in the pictures taken by the Cashman photographer. However I did find a picture where I am holding the bouquet and you can kind of see the size. If you would like to see it, I can email I to you because I can't figure out how to post a picture here - just send me a message with your email address. Jenny
