I'm curious about what most of you have done for your weddings for a DJ. Most DJ's seem to have a standard basic $700-$800 package where they do MC and provide basic lighting. Basic lighting is the beams that come onto the dance floor and change colors. Is that sufficient or do you think I should get them to do intelligent lighting (moving heads or scanners) which is about $450 extra. I'm wondering if that money would be better spent on getting a dhol player. Also would love to hear your experiences if you got a dhol player

Like PP said, having dhol players sounds more fun and festive.  I don't know how many people will notice the lighting and remember it, but they would remember dhol players!
