Candle Help

Hi everyone!

I am hoping to get some feedback on candles, 2 things: 1. has anyone tried using candles for an outside/garden reception? I have seen advertisements for these clear flame shields but the pictures look somewhat tacky....has anyone used these? I have also read an article about how to switch the wick of the candle for the "trick" candles but that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Also, my first choice to purchase candles has gone out of business....when I planned my parent's 25th anniversary party I got 80 candles for $25....any good websites or factories that offer similar prices? (I am having no such luck finding this deal on line). Thanks so much for advice :)

    Do votives or hurricane containers. The wick is inside and won't blow out. Don't know a cheap place to get them though.

    oh yeah, I didn't even think about the hurricane style! I found a ridiculous deal for tealight holders (10 cents apiece, no joke!) so i will probably end up using them inside the church
