Can you tie these two styles together

Hi  My husband and I are planning to renew our vows.  Our first wedding was very large and poorly put together.  This time we want an intimate occasion with our close family and friends.  I LOVE the glamorous, elegant and sophisticated (old Hollywood with the birdcage veil) style but I also love the shabby chic!  Is there a way that I can do both and still make it cohesive?

I don't see why not. I had white pedestal candle holders with crystals hanging down, about 9" tall, those are both elegant and "shabby chic".

I've done my home in what I call "cottage" style, but it's also very similar to what used to be called "shabby chic". Think of a pattern (floral, toile) that you like in a color you like and use that as inspiration. Elegance can be brought in with silver metallic items or white wrought iron items.

I found many things for my wedding by googling..........google "elegant shabby chic" and see what type of inspirations or pictures you find. I understand Pinterest is also an excellent resource.
