AW your Dogs!

2»

Re: AW your Dogs!

  • Here is Zig Man and some of his faces:

    He has such a personality!
  • These are mine! Gigi, our two year old lab mix, and Gemma, our guinea pig :)

Gig has such sweet eyes and I love your piggie!  I wish we could have one (I'd really love a ferret, actually), but my Yorkie has such a strong prey instinct that we could never bring a little mammal into the house. :(
  • The one on the rock is Bear. My Missy is laying on the blue pillow. They are brother and sister. I held each of them an hour afer they were born.

Edited to remove the third picture. Will re-post it later when I can get it to rotate.

How special to have had contact with them from the time they were wee little ones!

OMG love!!! What kind of mix is Tucker? I'm assuming part (or all?) chihuahua.

Did someone say dogs!? Here's my dog Lando. He's half Basset Hound and half Cockapoo.

This is the most amazing mix ever!  I love how he has those little outward pointed basset feet!

Oops, I don't know where they went
OMG I love that you have a larger and tiny pup. My mom has an 80-lb boxer and a 5-lb Yorkie and they are the best of friends - the boxer is so gentle with her little sister .
  • Here's my beagle!
Another sweet beagle face!  I really love the beagle howl and I miss our mix terribly. :(
  • This was our family dog, Dundee.  We put him down almost 2 years now.  :(  I'd love to get another dog, but DH and I aren't willing to properly care for one at the moment, so no dog for now.  I'd rather sleep in on weekends when there is a giant -30C blizzard raging outside.  I do miss having one to cuddle up with on the couch though

  • Maybe this one will post my photo...

We have a basset hound named Havalina who is almost 2 years old (we think any way).  She is a screwball.  The first picture is her pretty pose, and the second is her "I'm going to lay on the grass in the middle of our walk and refuse to get up" pose.

We adopted her from a Basset Hound rescue last year.  We also had a basset hound prior to her from the same rescue, but she sadly got very ill and did not make it past 5 years.

@moonlightsilver I LOVE beagles.  I had one growing up, and my mom has another one now.  I guess I just love hounds in general.

What a sweetie!  I lover her name, too - I live in the Sonoran desert and we actually get Javalina that wander through the back yard occasionally!

That's so funny! I'd love to see one! People are usually dumbfounded why we gave her such a strange name but she's our little wild boar.

  • I'm pretty late to this, but this is Toby. The first is from 2007 the second is from 2010.

The only bad part about having them from birth is they still want to snuggle on my chest. It was sweet when they weighed a single pound, now they are 75 and 83 lbs. They don't realize how big they are, but are the sweetest goofy dogs in the world.

Giant lap dogs are the best in the colder months. During the summer not so much.

This was my sweet Champion. He passed away of cancer, which unfortunately is becoming an epidemic in Goldens. I love him more than anything.

This is our sweet Sargent. He was a neighborhood dog (lived with a couple down the street) who couldn't care for him properly so they gave him to another family who proceeded to tie him to a tree and not feed him or give him water. He ended up at the shelter where a worker recognized him and called the couple out our street and said "I think your old dog is here". They immediately came and got him but realized they still couldn't properly care for him so he adopted us to say the least. He is a loving, lazy boy. He lies on the couch hours every day but if I was starved and chained to a tree, I'd do whatever I wanted too.

And of course, my fatty girl:
