August 2013 Weddings

Intro and Excitement

Hi - I've been reading the boards and replying to a few posts but this is the first one I've started.  We're getting married on August 11th - 80 days!!

Even though this is my second wedding, I am *so* excited I can barely contain myself!  I've known FI for 15 years; we've lived together for the past 5 years and he is my best friend and soul mate.  I know it sounds cheesy with us being in our late 40s but you really can find true love the second time around!

Anyway - thanks for all the great ideas - I've made some tweaks to our wedding based on things I've read here and I think our ceremony / reception is going to be awesome!

Take care,

Kim

    Thanks ladies!

@Audubonbride2013 - are you in PA?  We live fairly near Audubon - it's a lovely area!

@Xstatic3333 - I cannot believe how fast the time is going!  DD is graduating high school in a few days and I just had minor surgery, so I'm a little behind schedule on my wedding planning - but I know it will all work out and the day will be perfect!  :)

    Take care,
    Kim

  • @kryan32 - I am getting married in Audubon with a reception in Glenside, but I currently live in Northern VA
  • Aw, congrats to your DD kryan!  Exciting few months for your family!

@Audubonbride2013 Nice!  My grandparents live in Glenside - it's so pretty up here - have you spent much time here?  I'm sure your wedding and reception will be beautiful!

    Take care,

    Kim

  • @kryan32 - I actually grew up in Audubon and my grandparents lived in Glenside.  My grandparents had their 50th anniversary vow renewal at our reception venue when I was a kid.  I knew I wanted to get married there as soon as I got engaged.

@Audubonbride2013 - so sweet!  My grandparents had their 60th anniversary a few years ago at the William Penn Inn.  It's a beautiful place  :)

It's so awesome that you're having your wedding at the same place as your grandparents - I'm sure your family will love it!

  • You can be as cheesy as you want.  Love makes you that way at ANY age.   :)

    Love is the ultimate superpower.
It can make you weak and strong simultaneously.
