BM dresses?

I am trying to get my sister to register on here but for the meantime I am asking questions for her. I am so excited for her its ridiculous, I know.  She is trying to figure out what style dress would work best for bridesmaids, she would prefer them to all match and not get different dresses. The problem is, though, that she has 3 different body types. Apple, Pear, and 2 hourglass. The apple shaped girl is heavier set, so she and the pear are the ones that my sister is most concerned about looking good in a dress. Any suggestions?

An A-line dress is the most flattering dress on almost all body types. I am a pear shape as well so I don't suggest anything that's not A-line for girls with a rounder bottom. Also, if your sister has a girl with a larger chest, have her try and stay away from strapless gowns. I have 3 girls with chests larger than D's and they would kill me if I put them in a strapless. They simply won't be comfortable.

Tell her to be careful of fabrics that are too clingy as well. Certain fabrics just aren't as forgiving.

It might be helpful to take the pear shaped and apple shaped girls with her to the bridal shop and have them try on a few styles to get an idea of what they are comfortable in.

Thanks for the help! I will tell her that. I think we are all going to go try on gowns and see what looks best, but I will def. let her know that A line/nonstrapless would be a good idea.

I'm a BM in my MOH's wedding in July, we are wearing this dress from DB. It is strapless, but I wanted to show it to you for the shape. She has 5 BMs and we are all seriously different shapes. The ruching on it is fantastic and works really well for all of us. The dress looks great on everyone, we ordered sizes between 2 and 18.

If you look on my bio, you can see the Bill Levkoff dresses my ladies are wearing. It looks FANTASTIC on all of them, and they are all different sizes. It also comes with straps, so you have the option of going strapless or not. It is such a flattering dress.

The only item I will not compromise on...my bouquet of all purple tulips wrapped in a swatch from my Mom's wedding dress.

I have a pic on my planning site of the Belsoie dress my BM's will be wearing.  It has a high neck which I really like b/c I also have a heavier set girl and didn't want her to feel like her chest was spilling out of the dress.
