Transportation and Candy Buffets? Oh my!

Hello Bridal Family,

I have two questions! First if any of you have had or are working on a candy buffet how much has it cost you? I would love to have a candy buffet, but I'm not sure where to start with planning one. How much candy do I estimate per person? Any cheap candy  (in bulk) that any of you can recommend?

Secondly my venue is two hours away and I would like to provide transportation to some of my guests, especially the ones who I know are heavy drinkers. Any recommendations on cheap bus rentals in the Milwaukee area?

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Re: Transportation and Candy Buffets? Oh my!

  • I just decided last night to do a candy buffet. A friend of mine who got married two years ago did a candy buffet and still has all of her vases, scoops, and candy bags so it worked out pretty perfect. I plan to get my candy in bulk from Woodman's or Vic's Wholesale Candy on West Forest Home Avenue in Milwaukee. She spent $250 in candy for a guestlist of over 500 people an still had plenty left over. My guest list is less than half of that so I only plan to spend about $100-$125 in candy. I'd also recommend Oriental Trading Company (online) for other candy buffet supplies.
  • Four Star Limo and Riteway have pretty reasonable prices for shuttle buses

  • Thanks guys! I'll be checking out those places for the candy and we decided to skip renting a bus. We found hotels that will provide a shuttle to and from the site for free! Yay! Anyone who isn't getting a hotel will carpool. Money saved. lol
