No idea what to do for them! or to have them at all!

I have no idea what to do for them. We are slowly gathering stuff for the wedding (no date set yet but it will be in A winter lol we have to see when my schooling falls date wise) Our colours are red, white, black, its going to be a vintagey gothy theme (not high school goth like hot topic lol) since that suits us but also wintery so I guess goth wintery vintagey theme. So we'd like something that tied in with that but not garish or over the top but something that fits. We are also having a candy buffett and cupcakes and chocolate fountain most likely besides the cake so I think sweets are covered, our guests will have bags they can put candy in when they leave. Any ideas? I know its not your usual wedding theme

  • How about small bottles of wine?
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • If I were a guest at your wedding, I would think the bags full of candy were my favor. You've got it covered.
  • We're not allowed to bring our own alcohol. The venue sells all the alcohol and you're not allowed to do anything alcohol related yourself. You need a liquor license and liquor is all priced by the government. I may just leave it as candies but I guess I'm looking for something cutesy too
  • Yeah, the candy buffet should suffice as the favors, then.

  • What about something personalized?  They have great ideas at Things Engraved.

These tend to be abandoned at the reception.  Even though lots of couples give them out, from what I've seen and heard, they are not received with enthusiasm.
  • I agree that the candy bar is enought.  That's what I'm doing for my favors.... mini decorated pails filled with candy, then they can refill these pails at the candy bar.

  • Since you are doing the candy, you should be set.

I am actually making a "thank you" for each guest to be at their spot.  I think the day gets so hectic that I wanted to make sure my fiance and I let our guests know how much them being there for us that day means, in our own words.

A pen, beer coozie, etc...don't say the same thing. :)

  • I think the candy bar works as a favor. Maybe you could look on Etsy for some cute candy bags that say thanks on them?
