I did it! Yay! My first half marathon is officially done.
The weather was really good, only around 65-70 and the course had a fair amount of shade. The hills were pretty killer. Seriously who puts a hill half a mile from the finish?! I honestly didn't think I was going to make it up the last hill. And I am pretty sure that is what cost me from finishing under 2:00. FI took a really good picture of me crossing the finish line and it shows 2:01:37. My chip time should be about a minute less.
Thank you so much for all of the encouragement and support leading up to my race. And extra special thanks to the experienced runners for their all their wisdom and for recommending the novice 2 training plan.
Now I have to pretty myself up so I can go to future sister in law's graduation ceremony.
