HI everyone. I know I've posted on here before do to I'm helping an out of state couple(used to live here) who are planning for their wedding here end of this year. Well, now I get to post about me.
I'm not engaged just yet but that is definitely gonna change very soon. The BF and I have been talking about getting married alot lately and he told me that he wants a Christmas wedding just like me. We both want pretty much the same thing for our wedding. So to make long story short, he told me, "I know we're not engaged just yet but thats soon to change. I just want you to start looking at places and see what you like out there, you know narrow all the choices down. When you find some places that you like, let me know, and we"ll talk about them and if it's something that we both like and could work for thewedding we'll go check it out. I just want you to start looking caus dates fill up quickly especially at the end of the year do to all the Christams parties."
From us talking, it looks like we can go with a budget of $15-$20k. We just have to sit down and figure it out a little more but it will be in that range tho.
The rough number of guests right now is around 250-300 but that can get cut just a little if needed. We both want it catered except for the cake(my moms making it) and cookies(family is making them do to special family recepies).
We're loking at either a country type wedding or simple elegance if we can say that.
We're both like the looks of lingrow farms but have heard that it's kinda expensive. Anyone have prices they would be willing to PM me on lingrow?
The other places that we have seen and liked are: LeMont, McCali Manor(Mt. Pleasant, westmoreland county), The Willow Room (Belle Vernon), Pittsburgh Athletic Association, and the Omni William Penn (we fully expect for this one to be out of our price range).
We're still determinig if we want a church wedding or ceremony and reception at same site.
If anyone has any info on any of these places that they wouldn't mind sharing, please feel free to PM me. If I can get some ideas on these places and possibly even know one or 2 off to shorten the possibility list I'm all for it. Also if anyone has any other ideas, we're all ears.
