buyer's remorse

I fell in love with an Enzoani, but in an attempt to save money, I bought a Mori Lee from a salon that runs like I Found The Gown on TLC. Super nice lady, lovely selection and absolutely nothing bad to say about her or the salon but.... I received the dress yesterday, in excellent condition, but it looks like crap on me. The Enzoani was a fit and flare with lace, and the Mori Lee is a dropped waist with a mermaid. I didn't realize how different it would be..... I am thinking about putting that dress on preownedweddingdresses.com and then when it sells, if it sells, take that money and put it toward the dress that I wanted in the first place. But now that I am thinking about it, I am second guessing EVERYTHING about what I thought I wanted. Hate hate hate this.

I'm sorry to hear you don't *love* the dress you purchased, and are second guessing the style you thought you'd like!

Did you previously try on the Enzoani, or the Mori Lee? (I'm assuming if you bought the Mori Lee from a bridal salon, you must have tried it on before making the purchase)? If so, what did you love about it when you tried it on at the salon, and what changed from then to now? Potentially something you can fix?

If you absolutely don't love your dress, I don't see anything wrong with posting it for sale & hoping it sells. Although, if it doesn't sell, are you going to be able to afford a new dress? As Liatris2010 said, is there any way of altering it where you might like it better? Whether it's taking something away, or even possibly adding something to the dress maybe? Or if it does sell, (given you haven't tried the Enzoani on), do you know for sure that you're even going to like it? If you love the style, but haven't tried the dress on, I would definitely get into a salon that sells that dress and try it on prior to the purchase! There are sooo many gorgeous dress styles out there that look *amazing* online, or in pictures, but just don't suit every body type. You definitely wouldn't want to be stuck in the same situation a second time around, with a more expensive dress! Plus, if that were the case, if you don't prefer the style, it will give you the opportunity to find what you 'do' love. :)

Regardless, I definitely hope you find *exactly* what you're looking for! You'll definitely know it's the dress the second you have it on! :)

     Good luck!

     *J
