Taking a break from booking vendors and otherwise planning, what songs are you doing for each, if you are having dancing at the reception?

Reception Entrance:
First Dance:
Father/Daughter:
Mother/Son:
Final Dance of the Night:

Since we are late to the planning, we haven't really thought about any of these yet. I am going to let my dad pick our song.  I want something really energetic for the entrance song so I would love to hear everyone's plans!

    Haven't really thought about any of this. I think I know the song for my dad and I, but that's about it. I also hadn't realized the "last dance" was something to plan ahead. Our reception ends at 5 pm though, so it won't really feel like a "final song of the night," ya know?

    We're going to let our DJ pick our "entrance" song, but that will go straight into our first dance, since... I think it's complete baloney when couples do first dances halfway through the reception. Although, we also aren't having a "meal time" at our reception, so it would make even less sense for our "first dance" to be at 8pm when our reception starts at 6pm. Our first dance is going to be "Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop". My dance with my dad will be a Frank Sinatra number, performed by my FH. He wants to sing, I love it when he sings, and, bonus, the moms will cry. So. That's happening. His dance with his mom? I have no idea. Like @SewInLoveWithDMB, I was unaware that we had to pick the last dance song, so.... I'll just let the DJ pick that one too.

    Our entrance song is our actual song, but it's not a slow song so its not our first dance song.  We are walking in to Vertical Horizon, Middle Ground (long story on why it's our song).  We then immediately go in to first dance, Pretenders I'll Stand By you.  Decided on father daughter song this weekend, we are doing Judy Garland's Somewhere Over the Rainbow, knew the song just couldn't figure out a version til recently.

    Last dance song is NY NY, since FI and I are both Yankee fans and live in New York state.

    We don't have most of those picked out, but FI is set on Lucero, Last Night in Town as our final song.
