Exit song?

So my fiance and I have picked the entrance songs for the moms/brides/myself. We will be playing music off a CD and the songs we picked are instrumental versions of songs we like/have meaning for us. For our exit song, we were thinking of playing "youre the one that I want" as we love this movie and this song. On iTunes I can't really find just an instrumental version of this song. Do you think playing the actual song off Grease would seem too "upbeat" (for lack of a better word) compared to the music we have at the beginning or do you think it would be a fun way to exit the ceremony?

I think it's a great idea! I'm all about ending the ceremony in a fun way. We will be exiting to an upbeat song as well!

I love that idea!! not too upbeat... but then make sure your reception opening song matches the upbeat, much better results.

We will be exiting to "on the road again" by Willie Nelson... It has meaning for our almost 8 year relationship... Haha )

I think the actual song from the Grease soundtrack would be great. It sounds like a lot of fun. I say go for it!

I think the original song would be great! I was struggling with the same thing --- our recessional song is going to be "Happy Together" by the Turtles. It doesn't really "go" with the rest of our ceremony music, but who cares!? The recessional is supposed to be happy and fun. And bottom line - if you and your finance like it, go for it

I say go for it.  Sure it's upbeat, but you've just married the love of you life- upbeat is how you're gonna be feeling!

I love the idea! I want to use The Final Countdown in Instrumental.. so I think you should be able to pick your own exit song.

Maybe just find someone who can edit the song down for you, and cut out the stuff that some might find inappropriate. I'm a fan of funky, upbeat songs for exit music.  Plus this is your day and if it's what "keeps you satisfied" then go for it!

I know my FI and I are going to do "You're My Best Friend" by Queen for ours.
