Brother-in-law walking me down the aisle?

Would it be strange to have my brother-in-law walk me down the aisle? My sister got married when I was 15, so my BIL has been in my life through every single one of my past relationships. I think it'd be nice to have him "give me away" to this great guy I've finally found.

If he's the one you want to walk you down, go for it! I don't think the escort needs to be anyone in particular, it just needs to be someone the bride wants. The down-the-aisle escort is one of the very few things that I think a bride gets to legitimately say "It's MY day" for. Those who know you probably know how close the two of you are. 

It's wonderful that you have such a great relationship with your BIL.

My brother-in-law is the one walking me down the aisle. He married my sister when I was 16 and I lived with them in high school. He is more anxious about it than I am. It's kind of cute.
