As promised in my previous post this is a happy post. I finally got my engagement pictures back! My photographer (a family friend) did a wonderful job and after a minor fight with Walgreens I had them printed!

I'm so happy with how they came out so I'm sharing a few.

We chose the library to showcase our nerdy sides :-)

My wedding is 3/28/15, when should I send out STD's? I'm playing around with designing them now because I'm excited and I know I have time.

    Nice! I like the first one, the second one is a little too intimate, for me personally. 

    STDs are sent a year- 9 months out, so design all you want, but don't send anything anytime soon since a lot can change in that amount of time.

     Isn't it exciting to get your engagement photos back?! I was super excited to get some prints for the house, and gave our parents each a framed copy at our engagement party too! 

     As far as the save-the-dates go, most people send them out around the 'year-to-go' mark. So if you're getting married March 28, 2015, send them out sometime at the end of March-beginning of April, 2014. We had fridge magnets made with one of our engagement photos on them for our save-the-dates! I absolutely loved them, and they were fairly inexpensive! You can definitely get creative with how you want to design & create them! :)

     Have fun planning! You're in for a couple fun & busy years leading up to the day! :)

    I'd send the save the dates out in May, June, or July of 2014.

    Congrats on the pics! 

    Wait at least 1 year before you mail these. People would be so confused if you send them now. If I got one now for a 2015 wedding I would think it was a mistake. The purpose of save the dates is a courtesy to your guests to have an advanced heads up to mark the date on their calendars. I don't think most people are already getting their 2015 calendars in place.

    I've printed a bunch out for me personally, I have a bunch more that I want to show but of course my computer was giving me issues last night in the middle of this. I'll try to edit my post later to include more.
