Suit fittings...

For an 11-23-13 wedding, how soon should FI and GMs be fitted for their suits? FI has told me he and the guys will put it off until the last minute and I'm wondering how "last minute" we can afford to wait.

Are you renting suits?  If so, I would ask whatever shop you're renting them from.  They should be able to give you a date by which the suits need to be measured and ordered.

Yup, we're renting. I guess just calling the shop should have been the obvious answer

You can go in and pick out what you want them to wear as early as two to three months even six months beforehand. The guys don't have to be fitted until usually at the latest two weeks before. Call a local tuxedo shop, they will be able to give you specifics on what their preferred timelines are.
