So I have my first fitting next month.  They told me I need to bring all my undergarments with me.  I did try my dress on with a long bra but I was planning on having cups sewn in. I don't really think I need spanx because I think I would feel uncomfortable most of the night.  I feel kinda silly showing up with just my undies and shoes LOL.  What is everyone else wearing?

I'm hoping for cups sewn in as well and then some sort of cute underwear. Nothing crazy. No spanx, no strapless bra.

Longline bra and my mother's making my crinoline (in PURPLE to match my dress *g*).  So, I'll be taking those.

Was actually telling FI I need to pay off the balance, and wasn't sure how I could swing it when it shows up; he said "Well, don't worry.  We NEED the dress.  We'll get it paid off."  And he was being deadly serious.  I loves him so for 'getting' it.

I think I am actually not getting cups sewn in. My dress already fits pretty snug and is being brought in a tiny bit, but I like having a little lift from a strapless bra that I don't get with the sewn in cups. Still on the lookout for cute undies! And no spanx for me, My dress is layered with tulle and is not tight on my stomach (phew!)

i am getting cups sewn in as well... and just the length taken up and a bustle. and thats all i need done for my dress! my next fitting is in july

I'm going with the long line bra, no other spanx. The longline smooths enough out and the fit of the dress is such that it won't show fat elsewhere!

My dress has a corset built in so I'm not sure if it's possible to get cups sewn in to that, but I'll be asking the tailor when it comes in. I already own a backless bra so might just wear that if cups aren't possible... it's not terribly supportive on its own, but in combination with the corset I think I'll be okay. As for underwear, just regular cute undies (when I find them)!

My dress is corset style but I'm still looking for some umph!  I actually posted a question about that a few weeks back, on the plus size board, but no one responded.  :-(  My friend recommended something like this:  http://www.target.com/p/fashion-forms-womens-amazing-adhesive-nude/-/A-13793402?reco=Rec|pdp|13793402|PurchaseEV|item_page.vertical_1&lnk=Rec|pdp|PurchaseEV|item_page.vertical_1  but from the reviews I read it doesn't stay in place if you are bigger on top.  So I think I might buy it and try it.  If it doesn't work I can always take it back!

My dress is a trumpet style and it's satin so I need some smoothing over my bum since its so fitted. I found a petticoat that is designed for trumpet gowns, and it comes up to just under my boobs. Ill have cups sewn into the bust. I think that should work.

I have cups that will be sewn into my gown. And I'll find some cute wedgie-free undies. I started a 30 day ab challenge and hoping that I'll flatten my tummy out with that so I don't have to find a Spanx type deal.
