How many enclosure cards to we need?

The ceremony will be at our church and the reception will be held elsewhere. Looking over invitations options, I am overwelmed with options for the enclosure cards. There are response cards, reception cards and enclosure cards. Do I really need that many or are they trying to take all my money? The last wedding invitation I received was an Evite and the one before that was a postcard invite.

Re: How many enclosure cards to we need?

  • There were so many ettiquette don'ts with that Evite wedding (no chairs for the ceremony, half open/half cash bar, no thank you cards for gifts, really I could go on but I won't).

I figured I needed the reception card since my reception is at a different place than the ceremony.  I also think I need a response card because I don't think anyone on my friends and family list would take the time to compose a letter of response. The extra enclosure card is what confused me.

     Thanks @alisonmarie658 for the clarification.

  • I think that's what I am going to do. I just decided that I should have a wedding website since like half the people invited are OOT. Plus, I am looking forward to designing it since I never tire in talking about myself. ;)
  • I combined the reception and enclosure cards too.  I included the reception info, and then directed people to the website or more information on x, y, z.  Since I DIY'd them, it only cost me about $2.  It helped make up for the fact that my invites weighed so much!
