So far we have picked the color malibu blue from david's bridal and we need to know what other colors would go good with it??? We are having a rustic/country wedding if that helps. Any advice is welcome!

Have you looked at the Malibu dresses in person yet? The color is REALLLLyyyy bright (and kind of unflattering if I'm being honest). Why not consider navy blue, grey, or black dresses with a Malibu sash?

Lapis is also a really popular DB color right now (deep purple). The color is much more flattering, and I've seen it paired with Malibu accents before.

You can use the Malibu color as accents in your flowers and decor.

Chocolate brown looks awesome with blue and will help bring the country tone in. As would ivory/off white, which also looks great with blue. I'd do chocolate, ivory/off white, malibu blue, plus a pale blue to help balance out the deeper shade.

I think pairing brown with the malibu blue is a great idea! Although, I would personally go with a rich 'dark' brown. I think it would give it a more formal feel, with the first colour being such a bright, vibrant choice! The two colours combined would definitely make the blue pop, without it being overwhelming to the eyes! :)

I think as far as pairing goes, if you're set on having malibu as your primary colour choice, you could definitely use the dark brown to balance the bright colour for flowers, decor, BMs dresses etc. You could have gorgeous malibu blue flower bouquets, and have them wrapped in dark brown ribbon at the bottom. Brown accents on blue table runners, or a dark brown table cloth with a malibu blue organza overlay could definitely work! Malibu blue dresses can look amazing if they're the right dress. I think of all fabrics, I would stay away from chiffon in that colour. Pairing them with a dark brown ribbon or sash for the dresses would look really nice too! :)

There's definitely options out there if you want to get creative! Some colour choices aren't the easiest to work with, but with the right mindset, you can pull off almost anything! ;)

     Good luck to you! :)

I agree -- the color is bright!  I always recommend someone google "Davids Bridal (color name)" so you can see pics of real weddings with that color.  It made me change my color to lapis after being regency at first.
