hmm deviled eggs are my fave! but also potato salad or macaroni salad, as well as yummy fruit salad.

We do spagetti w homemade noodles on easter (and pretty much every holiday) so that's prob no help but i love it!

So this is my first time ever making a holiday meal. It's just my FI and my mom but I hope it turns out well. Most of the stuff I have made before at least once.

Ham (either Jack Daniel glazed or Pineapple glazed)
Honey Glazed Orange Carrots (super easy)
    Garlic mashed potatoes
    Broccoli Cheese Casserole
    Texas toast or baked rolls
    Pineapple upside down cake

I might make some kind of rice (cranberry and pecan rice maybe?) as well but that should be enough for just the three of us. I haven't decided which ham I'm going to do. Both are sweet honey hams with brown sugar and cloves, which my mom loves. I might just do Jack Daniels with Jim Beam instead (we do come from Kentucky after all).

We usually have ham, home made ravioli's, and Italian wedding soup - YUM!!! But unfortunately, I wont be home this year :( I don't know what FI's family does... I know she's going to have ham and turkey but not sure of anything else.

GMC and Db- I wish my family was italian! Yum!

I should state that my usual holiday meals with my mom's family alway involve suarkraut. I hate the stuff, but I have a very German family. Not as cool as the italians :-)

However, the stepfamily in Ky has everything imaginable (all very good country cookin' and made from stratch). Most of it is from the garden too- creamed corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, chicken and dumplings, corn bread, handmade rolls, stuffing, deviled eggs, potato salad, baked beans, ham, beef roast, spinach, glazed sweet potatoe, glazed carrots,  turkey, fruit salad, and at least 3 deserts (one cake, one pie, and something else). Seriously. The food covers two tables.
